Beekeeping rules in Argentina

If you're responsible for an apiary and notice signs of any bee disease, or know it's present, suspected, or confirmed by a lab test, you must report it right away to your local SENASA office, and this includes the exotic pests tracheal mite (Acarapis woodi), Tropilaelaps and small hive beetle (Aethina tumida), which are all notifiable diseases (Res. 278/2013 arts. 6-7).

Under the national surveillance system, suspected small hive beetle cases must be reported within 24 hours, and you can do this in person or by phone at a SENASA office, through the "Avisá al Senasa" section of the website, by emailing notificaciones@senasa.gob.ar, or via the "Notificaciones Senasa" app (Res. 153/2021).
